What are Private DNS (nameservers) ?

Private nameservers (or Private DNS) are nameservers that do not reflect your hosting provider, but rather your own domain name.

When you purchase a hosting account from any provider , you upload your files to their server and then you direct your domain name to it . They give you their name servers and you should set your domain name to point to something looking like:

ns1.webhostface.com

ns2.webhostface.com

If you intend to make business of websites , resell hosting services or just brand your business, you may get Private DNS feature , which will give you your own name servers , which will look like :

cPanel Hosting from WebhostFace

ns1.yourdomain.com

ns2.yourdomain.com

This will bring trust in your clients and take your brand to another level. Further more, you have to admit – having a Private DNS does look very cool 🙂 Having nameservers named after your website gives an impression that you are one of the big guys, with their own servers and datacenters.

You can get Private DNS from inside your Client Area -> Order section.
