If you wish to install phpBB language packs on your forum, this can be done quickly and easily from your phpBB Administration Control Panel (ACP).
- You first need to download the desired language pack from the phpBB Language Packs section in the phpBB website.
- Extract the files on your local computer and upload the correct folders in the language and styles folders of your phpBB installation. You can use either FTP or the File Manager in your cPanel to do that.
- Go to the Administration Control Panel of your forum, select the System tab from the upper menu, and click Language packs on the left. Click on Install next to the uploaded language.
- Your new language pack should be installed. If you want to change your forum default language to the newly-installed one, just go to the General tab -> Board settings, choose the language from the drop-down menu next to the Default Language label, and click on the Submit button at the bottom of your screen.
So now when you visit your phpBB forum, it will be displayed in the newly-installed language.
*Note: If you cannot view the modifications, clear your browser’s cache and reload the forum’s front page.
