How to install Let’s Encrypt free SSL/TLS certificate on your domain(s) with cPanel?

Before you install Let’s Encrypt, make sure that the domains, for which you plan to install the certificates are pointed to WebHostFace nameservers or A record. See how here:

Once your domain is pointed, go to your cPanel and find the Let’s Encrypt icon

From the next page locate the domains for which you want to issue the certificate. Click on the Issue button next to the domain you wish to issue SSL certificate for. If you wish to have to SSL for the www. version of your website, keep it ticked and if you’re using mail.domain.com as MXrecord/Mailserver we’d strongly recommend that you issue SSL for it as well.

You’ll also be asked to choose a validation method between http-01 and dns-01. You will usually want to use the HTTP validation method. If your domain’s nameservers point to cPanel, then you have the option of using the DNS validation method instead. The DNS validation method allows you to include wildcard domains.

After you have chosen a validation method click on the blue button at the bottom of the page which says “Issue”.  Wait for a few seconds and if you see the message below, this means the SSL/TLS installation has been successful.
