The Upload/Download speed that you experience over FTP is based on your connectivity to the Server that your cPanel account is hosted on.
If you’re experiencing slow connection it is good to make sure
- You’re not using your local network at its limits. This might be caused by other programs like download/torrent client or if you’re watching a stream / high-quality video.
- If you’re experiencing a slow connection to other sites you should contact your ISP
- If you’re Uploading many files (1 000+) it might take some time for the server to store them all (I/O limits)
